live8 - london pink floyd

the moment I had been waiting all day long - pink floyd about to reunite in hyde park, london.
awessome !! seeing roger waters and dave gilmour back on the same stage is pure blast from the past.
renditions of 'wish you were here' and 'comfortably numb' were great. money & breathe were good.
pink floyd still rocks !!

I am 17 years old,so obviously i have never seen pink floyd perform in person. Until today I have only had to rely on their albums and memories that my dad has from going to their concerts. I thinnk that it is incredible that a band can play to a crowd on millions live and that they could sound exactly like they did on the album. I hope Pink Floyd comes to the usa some time soon.

Oh my God,these guys are amazing, i to have just had to listen to their albums and my dad going on about their concerts. They are by far the best group of musicians in the world. I hope they stay together.

Roger Waters was a bit off though... Gilmour definately has a better voice these days... especially funny when Waters did his first lines in Wish you were here and seeing Gilmour give a meaningfull smile to Mason :) In Comfortably Numb he was better, but still, not the strong voice he used to have... All in all a nice concert though... He's a better bassplayer than the Floyd normally hire :)

I agree, that in 'Wish you were here' Roger Water started off with a shaking trembling voice but he gained solidness in Confortably numb.
But its just the guitar and the vocals of Gilmour, esp the singalong he does with his guitar.
Awesome !
